She peeks out
Every few minutes Mia drops down from the notch for a quick check-in. She skips it while you're on a call, in a Focus, or away from your desk.
Every few minutes Mia peeks out of your MacBook's notch, looks at you for 30 seconds while you keep working, and tells you what your heart rate, HRV and stress score read, against your own usual.

Every few minutes Mia drops down from the notch for a quick check-in. She skips it while you're on a call, in a Focus, or away from your desk.
2
Each heartbeat changes the colour of your skin, ever so slightly. Mia reads it through your camera with Nervotec's camera heart sensing while you carry on typing.
3
Heart rate and HRV, each with a confidence band. After 10 clean scans over 5 days she knows your usual and adds a stress score.
Beats per minute, with a band that shows how sure the reading is.
The tiny variation between beats. Mia only shows it when the pulse is steady enough to trust.
0 to 100 against your own usual: 50 is your usual and 32–68 your usual range. It arrives once your baseline is ready.
Still learning? From your third scan Mia shows today versus yesterday. No comparisons with other people, ever.
One suggestion a day at most, and only outside your usual range.
Look a little down, and she notices. It's how Mia stays good company on long days. She notices your expression only during a check-in, and nothing about your face is kept.

One slow minute at six breaths a minute, with Mia breathing along.

After 50 minutes of sitting, Mia stretches and invites you to do the same.

After a couple of hours at the desk, a short walk. Five minutes is a nice reset.

Focus rounds with breaks built in. Mia naps in the notch while you focus, and nothing interrupts a round.
Mia lives in space your Mac already gives up to the camera: no Dock icon, no windows to manage. When she has nothing to say, the notch is just the notch.
The camera is on only during a check-in, and the light is on while it is.
Your readings are stored on your Mac, encrypted with a key kept in your Mac's Keychain.
No face template and no expressions. Only the numbers from each check-in.
Export everything as a CSV, free for everyone. Erase it in Settings and Mia starts again from zero.
Coming soon. Planned pricing, in US dollars; it may change before launch.
